Hear the word “exercise” and Some people cringe at the mere mention of the word!
It is though, vital to our good health, vitality and well being. Exercise increases the amount of oxygen in the blood, improves bone and muscle strength, improves circulation, reduces stress and improves alertness and vitality. Exercise makes us less prone to depression and anxiety.
Exercise should be fun and at best, incorporated in to your daily routine. It can be as simple as the choice to do so. You don’t have to do huge amounts of exercise every day. Whatever form of exercise you choose, you can begin in a small way. You can and will gradually build up the time and effort you put in over time.
Exercise can be as simple as going for a walk. Walking is a pleasant no-stress exercise that is extremely effective. Swimming is a great choice as it exercises every muscle in the body and is enjoyable. Cycling and dancing are great cardiovascular activities that can be done with friends or alone.
No matter what exercise you choose, the important this is that it can be incorporated into your life on a regular basis – and that you enjoy it!
Get your body moving …
No Pain No Gain
Exercise should NOT be painful. Pain is the body’s warning to you that something is wrong and that you should stop the activity immediately.
