Body Soul Mind
About this site
This page explains what Body Soul Mind is, how it is organized and how we write and check what you read here. It also covers the history of this domain and how to contact us.
What the site is
Body Soul Mind is a calm, well-sourced guide to caring for body, mind, soul and spirit, and to how they feed each other. One idea runs through the whole site: physical health, mental clarity and spiritual practice are connected. When you look after one, the others often come into view too.
The four pillars
The site is organized in four pillars:
- Body: movement, sleep, breath, food and herbs.
- Mind: attention, mood, memory, mindset and the mind-body connection.
- Soul: meaning, purpose, intuition, emotions, grief and letting go.
- Spirit: meditation and prayer, intention, angels across traditions, the universal spiritual laws, energy practices and sacred space.
What you will find here
- Guides that explain a topic properly, from the basics onward.
- A practice library. Each practice lists how long it takes, step-by-step instructions, cautions and what the evidence says.
- A reference on healing modalities, each rated against a fixed evidence scale.
- Compact reference pages on the universal spiritual laws.
- A glossary of terms used across the site.
- Two tools. The routine builder suggests a short daily routine across the pillars, and the four-pillar check-in helps you notice how each area of your life is doing.
How pages are rated and written
Every guide and practice carries an evidence label: Tradition, Mixed or Research-informed. The label tells you what kind of claim you are reading. Modalities carry a separate rating of insufficient, limited, some or good evidence. Our editorial policy explains both scales.
Health pages are built from published, authoritative sources. These include the US National Institutes of Health and its National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, MedlinePlus, the CDC, Mayo Clinic and peer-reviewed reviews. Every page lists its sources.
Spiritual and traditional topics are described fairly. We explain what the tradition says, where it comes from and how people practice it. Each of these pages ends with a short grounded view of what can and cannot be known. The site does not claim psychic or healing powers.
Every page is checked against its sources before it is published. We do not offer readings, sessions, products or medical advice. Pages are general information, and if you have a health concern, please talk to a clinician.
About this domain
From 2010 to 2019, this domain carried a personal blog on similar themes of body, mind, soul and spirit. Body Soul Mind is a new, independent publication. It does not continue that blog and does not republish its articles. Some old addresses now lead to new pages on the same topics.
